The US FDA’s final rule “Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food” (the CGMP & PC rule)(2015) requires a facility that has identified hazards requiring preventive controls to verify that the preventive controls are consistently implemented and are effectively and significantly minimizing or preventing the hazard ( 21 CFR 18, part Section 2021b).
